WHATSAPP TRIAL BROWSER AND IMAGE SEARCH FEATURES

WhatsApp like most other companies, often tests various new features before being released to global users.

This time, the company is testing the in-app browser and image search feature.

Quoted from GSM Arena, Tuesday (03/19/2019), as the name implies, an in-app browser can be used to open website pages in the WhatsApp application. With this feature, users no longer have to leave WhatsApp to open a website link.

In addition, the in-app browser will also warn users if they will open a dangerous webpage. According to WABetaInfo, Facebook or WhatsApp will not be able to access the user's search history.

Another feature that is being tested is image search, reverse image search.

Users can upload images received in the chat column to Google, to see if they have appeared on the previous website.

Reverse image search on WhatsApp is considered to be very helpful in countries, such as India, because the platform is widely used to spread false information.

Both of these new features are reported to appear in the new version of WhatsApp beta, and are not available to users. So far there is no information about the timing of the launch of these two features.
